Your heart ❤️ is Precious: Protect It

The heart is like the engine room of your body: pumping clean blood to all parts of the body and removing blood with waste materials such as carbon dioxide from the body while helping to pass it through the kidney to remove other waste materials. This is the reason it’s the center of the circulatory system of the body ( remember your Biology 101?).

A healthy heart is important for healthy living and you must do all your can to protect it from unnecessary emotional and physical stress as otherwise you could be dealing with heart related disorders such as hypertension (high blood pressure) or other cardiovascular diseases. I guess you probably know this already, but how do you guard and protect your heart jealously? Here are a few tips. 

For heart health I love to use the acronym LESS – D.

L = Lifestyle Modification which includes your reduced alcohol consumption, smoking cessation  weight control and watching your sedentary lifestyle. 

E =  Exercise- I won’t duel on this as I have enough on this topic on this website for your read 

S = Stress . I also have enough information on this on this website for your reading.

S = Sleep . No matter how busy you are, create time and the right bedroom ambience to have your 7 to 9 hours per day beauty Sleep.  Your heart and body will thank you for it.

D = Diet. An adage says he who eats well lives well or should I say has more potential to enjoy a long and healthy life.
